Whole Town's Heart

Got in the car with a beer in your hand, double vision, but no one said anything. How can you drive when you cant even stand, you never listen, you never listen. 4 in the back, running through a red light, not the green of your old provisional. Tyres screech in the dead of the night, wheel spinning, wheel spinning. You're breaking the whole towns heart. They're calling your name, They're calling your name. You're gone too young, They're calling your name, They're calling your name. You clipped the curb as you lost control, the last waltz for Daddy's little girl. The dust settled as you round, cold. Glass glistened, gone missing. She should've just stayed at home, with a Chinese and video. The girl that everybody knows, stopped living, just stopped living. You're breaking the whole towns heart. They're calling your name, They're calling your name. Gone too young, They're calling your name, They're calling your name. You broke the whole towns heart. They're calling your name, They're calling your name. You're gone too young, They're calling your name, They're calling your name

Cigarette 02:54
These days, the place we find romance in is the back seat of our cars. Through steamy windows and handprints, we see the romance is gone. When we're finished we sit back and put the radio on. To fill the awkwardness which shouts “I do not know who you are!” So you take her club and then you tred on her feet, You give her your last cigarette, she puts it out on the street , She says “I care about my lungs, more that you care for your teeth, Mr Yellow, go away, and please stop hastling me!” Tonight, it appears. Romance is a stubbed out cigarette. Burn a hole, burn a hole, burn a hole, in your pocket, When you're coughing up blood, well she knows how you want it then. Well she knows how you want it then. Mate, it seems there's no turning back, now that she's met your parents, Well it's game set and match. All of your friends are convinced you've been tied to the tracks, She is full steaming ahead turning you into your dad. You haven't been to the pub in a month and a half, you're up at 8 in the morning, Your friends are still at the bar. Her toothbrush is in the sink, she's slowly moving in, First her socks and then her straighteners and then she wants a ring. Tonight, it appears. Romance is a stubbed out cigarette. Burn a hole, burn a hole, burn a hole, in your pocket, When you're coughing up blood, well she knows how you want it then. Well she knows how you want it then. (Easy, easy, easy, you shut up!) She's got you breaking your backbone, We liked her so much better when she was unknown, Can't find a reason to hold on, You shut up, let's move on. She's got the key to your front door, and we're not coming over anymore, So we'll just leave it and move on. Ah, Ah, Ah it appears. Romance is a stubbed out cigarette. Burn a hole, burn a hole, burn a hole, in your pocket, When you're coughing up blood, well she knows how you want it then. Well she knows how you want it then

Been There 02:52
You were stood behind Rhys laughing, he was setting fire to toys in the garden You had a glass of wine and a cigarette and that smile That made people forget what they were asking I was stood still in a room full of people dancing, staring out the window And swearing at myself about what was not mine I bet I am just one more man, one more kiss, one more number in her contact list I'm one more bloke, one more lay, but I'm not bothered either way Because I've Been there once before, and I'm never going back, never going back there for more The second time's never quite as good as the first (x2) I was stood behind Rhys laughing, I could feel your eyes watching me around the garden I had a glass of wine to help me forget for a while I don't regret how we ended it last week, you were becoming jealous And it was getting nasty, you're staring out the window And swearing at yourself because you're not mine You know you were just one more man, one more kiss, one more number in my contact list Just one more bloke, one more lay, but I'm not bothered either way. Because I've Been there once before, and I'm never going back, never going back there for more The second time's never quite as good as the first (x2) I know, Scarlett, I'm pathetic and I'm useless Claire said I should stop being a nuisance, next thing I know I am calling I know, arm's length got to keep me at a distance It looks sad when I'm being so persistent Next thing I know she's telling me I'm One more man, one more kiss, one more number in her contact list I'm one more bloke, one more lay, but I'm not bothered either way Because I've Been there once before, and I'm never going back, never going back there for more The second time's never quite as good as the first (x2) Never going back, never going back

The Trier 02:35
This morning I woke up alone. Felt like a stranger in my own bed. I turned on the bedside light. It's darker outside, than it is in my heart. My head is filling with regrets, Hastily made choices and voices of friends. Who turn up, offer their advice. Say, "Yeah, she was nice, but she's not" Not what? "Not the one". Not the one, not the. I can't begin to explain just where the love goes. It makes me give up. Oh it makes me give up. I'm not a trier. Yesterday I forgot to eat, trying to keep myself occupied. I took stock of the memories that I'd like to keep. In a photograph, that blisters in the heat of the fire. On the mantelpiece of a house going up in flames. Yeah we're stuck inside. You won't leave 'til I've explained why you're Not the one. Look for excuses, to ask if we can be friends. I confess I'm useless. You're not the one. You're not the one..
